Today started fairly early, as I had a few things I wanted to get done before easing into my usual morning routine. I started the day with my usual pint of iced water and creatine, followed by a black coffee. There’s something about that first coffee of the day that always feels like a little ritual—simple, but essential.
By midday, it was time for my workout. I’ve made a few adjustments to my routine again, fine-tuning it to better suit me. I’ve said it before, but tailoring a workout to your own needs is really important. I like to mix things up every few months to keep it fresh and engaging, and today was one of those workouts that just felt good. If you work out regularly, you’ll know what I mean—sometimes everything just clicks, and you feel stronger, more focused, and energised. After my workout, I took a long bath and read for a while before having my first meal of the day at around 2pm. I kept it simple and refreshing—mango, strawberries, and pineapple with Greek yoghurt. There’s something about fresh fruit that always feels satisfying, especially post-workout. Feeling productive, I then gave the kitchen and bathroom a deep clean before spending some time editing blog posts for next week. I like to stay ahead with my posts when I can, so I’ve been making more of an effort to dedicate time to writing and refining them. At around 4pm, I had 4 scrambled eggs with cheese, cooked in butter with some chia seeds mixed in. Chia seeds are great for adding a little extra nutrition to meals—they’re packed with fibre, omega-3 fatty acids, and protein, making them a simple way to boost any dish. Later in the afternoon, I played The Sims 4 for a while on my MacBook. It’s my new guilty pleasure. I haven’t played The Sims since the very first one came out, and I remember being about 14 years old and completely obsessed with it. It’s a decent game in short bursts, and it’s been fun to revisit it after so many years. For my evening meal at around 6pm, I had chicken thighs with roasted sweet potatoes and a salad made up of lettuce, baby cucumber, and cherry tomatoes with a mint yoghurt dressing. A nice balance of protein, healthy fats, and carbs—simple but satisfying. Now, as it’s approaching 8pm, I’ll be getting into bed soon to wind down with some YouTube before sleeping. A productive and balanced day overall. I hope you’ve all had a good Tuesday. Comments are closed.
