Friday was a special day—my cousin’s wedding. The ceremony was held at a lovely little church in my village, followed by the reception at my local pub. It was a great opportunity to catch up with aunties, uncles, and cousins I hadn’t seen in a while. In the end, I was quite happy with my outfit. After the church, I briefly popped home to change into something more comfortable for the afternoon and evening celebrations. Overall, it was a beautiful wedding and a great day.
Saturday was a much slower pace, which was needed after Friday. I mostly relaxed, caught up on some TV, and had some nice food. I also went through my wardrobe, sorting out clothes that either don’t fit or that I know I’ll never wear again. While doing that, I had a look on Vinted. I’ve never really used it before, but I was surprised by how cheap some of the items are. I ended up buying a few sweatshirts and a couple of shackets—all listed as new without tags, which I don’t mind. I don’t see anything wrong with being thrifty, and I think going forward, if I’m after new clothes, I’ll definitely check Vinted first. On Sunday, my dad, daughter, and I went to the pub for a bit. The weather wasn’t too warm, so we sat outside for a while before heading in. Since it was the day before St Patrick’s Day, the pub had an Irish folk band on, and they were pretty good. This morning (Monday), I was up early and got my home workout out of the way first thing. I think this is week two—possibly week three—of my new routine, and I’m really liking it so far. After my workout, I had fresh strawberries and a protein shake, followed by a long bath. I’ve been feeling a bit achy lately, either from switching up my workouts or just from getting older—who knows? Either way, the bath was definitely needed. Around 2pm, I had three hard-boiled eggs with some chilli sauce, and for my evening meal, I had sirloin steak with green beans and sweet potato mash. A good weekend overall and a solid start to the week. Comments are closed.
