Thursday again, which means food shopping day. This week, my daughter and youngest sister came along with me and my mom since they’re still off for half term. While me and my mom made our way round the shops ticking things off the list, the two of them headed off to grab some food. They’d planned on Nando’s, but said it was absolutely rammed, so ended up at the McDonald’s next door instead.
Shopping itself was pretty standard – I picked up my usual bits along with food and snacks for my daughter. Once we were home, I got straight into unpacking everything, then changed and washed the bedding and gave the house a good vacuum. I didn’t eat until after all that was done, and went for something quick and easy – two rump steaks, just to refuel before my workout. Today’s Thursday workout was shoulders and arms, and it ended up being a solid session. I felt like I’d pushed myself in all the right ways, and afterwards, I had a nice soak in the bath, which is fast becoming part of my routine on training days. Because we’d gone shopping a bit later today, once I’d finished up my workout and bath, I had just enough time to sit down and play Minecraft for an hour before sorting my evening meal. Dinner tonight was rib eye steak with sweet potato mash, cabbage and kale – really simple but satisfying. As for the rest of the evening, I think I’ll either carry on watching The Gardener in bed – I started it a few days ago on Netflix and it’s quite easy to get into – or maybe I’ll catch up on the latest episode of Good American Family on Disney.
