Today’s post comes quite late as it’s been a rather busy Saturday for me. The morning started off quietly, as Saturdays often do, but I was up early to complete my home workout. Being Saturday, it was core and conditioning day. There’s something about getting that workout done first thing—it sets the tone for the rest of the day. Afterward, I had my go-to breakfast of soft-boiled eggs and toast, simple but satisfying.
By early afternoon, my dad came over. We hadn’t been to the pub together for a few weeks, mainly because of the cold weather, but today felt mild enough to head out. It was nice to sit and have a quick drink, just catching up and enjoying the moment. Later, my daughter needed a lift to work and asked if my dad could take her. I decided to tag along, so we dropped her off and then decided to grab some food ourselves. Initially, we thought about getting Chinese, but the restaurant was absolutely packed. Instead, we went to the local chip shop. I ended up with a tray of kebab meat and chips—a huge portion. It’s not the kind of food I eat often, given my 90/10 whole food approach, but it’s nice to indulge every now and then. In the end, I only ate half, so the rest will do nicely for tomorrow. It’s been one of those days where the time just slips away. The combination of exercise, family time, and a little indulgence has left me feeling content. While today’s post is on the shorter side, I’ll be back tomorrow with something a bit different. If you have the time, I’d love for you to check it out. I hope everyone’s had a lovely Saturday.
