Today didn’t quite go to plan, and I accidentally ended up having just one meal—a bit of an unintentional OMAD (one meal a day) situation. The day started off as usual. I got my workout done early in the morning, which was a nice way to get things going. After that, I had a long bath to relax and unwind a bit.
Just as I was about to make my first meal of the day, my dad rang. He’d broken down after work, and his car wouldn’t lock properly. He asked if I could go wait with it while my sister took him home to get his spare car key. Naturally, I went to help. Unfortunately, the spare key didn’t solve the issue, so I ended up looking online for a recovery service to get the car back to his house. As it turns out, my dad didn’t have breakdown cover through his car insurance, so he had to pay out of pocket for a separate company to come and sort it. They loaded the car up and diagnosed the issue on the spot—it was a broken alternator. That’ll be another few hundred pounds to get fixed, which isn’t ideal, but at least he knows what’s wrong now. By the time I got back home, the day had flown by, and I still hadn’t eaten. So, I ended up squeezing everything into one big meal. I made two scrambled eggs to start with, followed by two steaks and half a plate of spinach. After that, I had an apple and some frozen strawberries and mango to round things off. Not a typical day of eating for me, but it did the job. With the day winding down, it’s nearly time for me to head to bed. I’ll pop on some YouTube to relax before drifting off to sleep. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a bit more straightforward. Comments are closed.
