It’s been a fairly quiet weekend for me, which is probably just what I needed. On Saturday, I caught up with my dad for a couple of hours at my local pub. The weather held out, thankfully. It wasn’t overly warm, but it wasn’t cold either—not like earlier in the week when I was almost convinced winter had come early.
Interestingly, as of today, the news is saying we’re in for an Indian summer here in the UK. Looking out the window, it certainly looks warm enough, but it doesn’t feel like it. In fact, I had to put the heating on this morning because my daughter was feeling cold. It’s that odd time of year where the seasons are shifting, and the weather can’t quite make up its mind. Sunday was a quiet one, spent entirely at home. My daughter’s come down with a nasty cough and wasn’t feeling great, so we just relaxed and had an early night. It was the kind of lazy Sunday that felt necessary, especially with her feeling under the weather. TV-wise, I’m finding there’s not a great deal on at the moment, despite the fact I’ve got all the streaming services—Sky, Netflix, Paramount+, Disney, Apple TV, Prime Video, and Discovery+. With all those options, you’d think I’d never run out of things to watch, but I seem to be gravitating more towards YouTube these days. That said, Tulsa King Series 2 aired yesterday on Paramount+, which I’ve been looking forward to. The only downside is they’re releasing it one episode a week, every Sunday. I’m in two minds about whether to start it tonight or wait until all the episodes are out and binge it in one go. I’m leaning towards watching the first episode though, especially since I really enjoyed the first season. Last year, I binge-watched Ted Lasso on Apple TV and really enjoyed it, but I can’t remember a lot of the details, so I might start it again from the beginning. I usually get a bit sick of rewatching shows I’ve already seen, but at the same time, there’s something oddly comforting about revisiting an old favourite. For the rest of the day, I’m planning on diving into Farming Simulator 22 after recently finishing Hogwarts Legacy. I’ve gone back to farming until I find a new game that grabs my attention. Other than that, it’s shaping up to be a fairly lazy day, which I’m definitely not complaining about. It’s nice to have these quiet moments, especially with the busy week ahead. Comments are closed.
