Thursdays seem to come around so quickly, don’t they? As usual, today was my food shopping day. My mom and I followed our regular route, stopping at Home Bargains, Sainsbury’s, and Poundland. It’s a bit of a routine for us now, but I quite enjoy it. The post-Christmas supply of snacks and drinks has finally dwindled, so this week I stocked up on treats for my daughter as well as my usual fruit, vegetables, and meat.
One new addition to my shopping basket was pork belly. I’ve enjoyed it in restaurants plenty of times, but I’ve never actually cooked it at home. I’m quite looking forward to trying it out. The past 7 days have been incredibly busy for me. For the last five months, I’ve been working on something that I finally finished yesterday. It’s a project I’ve poured a lot of time and effort into, and while I’m really proud of it, I’m torn about whether or not to share it here on my blog. The work itself is very public, but I’ve always liked the idea of keeping my blog separate—a little space of my own, away from everything else. That said, I might change my mind. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see what I’ve been working on pop up in my stories over the next week or so. It’s exciting, but for now, I think I’ll leave the decision hanging a bit longer. Tonight, I’m consciously taking a step back. After a week of being glued to my laptop and neglecting TV, social media, and any sort of downtime, I’ve decided it’s time for a proper break. My plan is to put the laptop away, find something good to watch, and just unwind for the evening. I hope everyone’s had a lovely week so far. Comments are closed.
