Why I Stopped Making My Blog Posts So Personal: A Shift Towards Professionalism and Universality21/3/2023
Blogging is a medium of expression that has been around for over two decades, allowing individuals to share their thoughts, experiences, and perspectives with the world. Over the years, blogging has evolved to become a powerful tool for creating an online presence, building a community, and even generating income. However, as bloggers, we have the freedom to decide how much of ourselves we want to share with our audience.
When I first started blogging, I poured my heart and soul into my posts, writing about my personal experiences, challenges, and triumphs. I believed that the more personal I got, the more relatable I would be to my readers. However, after taking a break from blogging and returning to it, I decided to make a change. I stopped making my blog posts so personal and focused on creating content that was more informative, educational, and practical. One of the reasons why I made this change is that I realised that my personal experiences were not always relevant to my readers. While some readers may find inspiration in my personal stories, others may not relate to them at all. I wanted to create content that was more universally applicable and that would be valuable to a wider audience. Another reason why I stopped making my blog posts so personal is that I wanted to create a more professional image for myself. While there is nothing wrong with being personal and vulnerable in your writing, I felt that it wasn't always appropriate for the type of content I was creating. As a blogger, I wanted to establish myself as an expert in my niche and create content that reflected my knowledge and expertise. In conclusion, while there is no right or wrong way to blog, as bloggers, we have the freedom to choose how much of ourselves we want to share with our audience. For me, the decision to stop making my blog posts so personal was based on a desire to create content that was more universally applicable and establish a more professional image. Ultimately, as bloggers, we should always strive to create content that is valuable and relevant to our audience, while staying true to ourselves and our own personal style. Comments are closed.
