Friday again, and another week is in the books. With just five days to go until Christmas, things are feeling a little different. Yesterday, my usual shopping day, took an unexpected turn. My mom and I decided to head to a different town for a change of scenery, which also meant exploring different shops. This week’s shopping was more of a treat-focused affair, especially for my daughter, as I tend to stick to my regular diet.
We’re planning another trip to our usual shops on Monday, Christmas Eve Eve, to pick up the fresh essentials for the festive season. After that, we’ll be all set until the week after Christmas. Today started exceptionally early for me. I wanted to get some housework done first thing, so I tackled cleaning before diving into my home workout. Being Friday, it was leg day—a lower body-focused workout that’s always the toughest of the week. Afterward, I had a quick bath and then my first meal of the day: soft boiled eggs and toast, followed by some fruit. In the afternoon, I spent some time playing Football Manager. I’ve only just started playing it again this week after taking a break for a couple of months, and it’s been great to get back into it. For my evening meal, I had lamb koftas with a small salad, a satisfying and simple dish. Tonight, I’m planning an early night and a bit of downtime with a new series I started yesterday on Amazon Prime called The Consultant. Starring Christoph Waltz, the show is a darkly comedic thriller centred around a mysterious consultant who takes over a tech company under unsettling circumstances. It’s intriguing and unsettling in equal measure, and I’m looking forward to watching more. That about sums up my last couple of days. I’ve already got a non-journal-style post ready for tomorrow, so be sure to check it out. Thanks for reading, and I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Comments are closed.
